Rocks & Minerals

Description

Museum after-school program.
Which world-famous rock came from outer space? Why were rubies once known as bloodstones? Rock and Mineral shatters the stone's reputation for "rock-solid" performance. Discover how rocks keep a constantly changing record of our planet's fascinating history, and see how minerals are at the very core of our civilization in a 30-minute video. A worksheet, activity sheets and a hands-on project will be included.

For children age 6 & older. Registration is required by calling 518-642-1515. Program will be held in the library.
